Location: Vernon

We are seeking a QA Manager to become an integral part of our team!

You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring plant products are safe and meet customer specifications and company quality and reliability standards.

JOB TYPE

Full-Time

SHIFT

Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm (Some Saturday work and flexibility on the hours for audits and or customer visits)

PAY

$80K- $115k/year

Responsibilities
  • Responsible on managing daily quality functions in the QC department.
  • Monitor & oversee supervisor performance.
  • Lead the Quality team.
  • Pest control activity at the plant level and perform.
  • Handle, monitor, and lead the GMP walkthrough.
  • Lead as a HACCP Coordinator at the plant to oversee all food safety-related conditions.
  • Handle, Coordinate, Monitor and respond to customer complaints.
  • Responsible for trend analysis on food safety and quality related data that includes KPI, micro performance at the plant for environmental swabs, material and finished product.
  • Handle interview and train new hires, ongoing training for all the QC Technician employees.
  • Liaison as a lead contact to plant USDA Inspector.
  • Interact with customer and supplier as required by issues arises caused by material/ingredient/product quality issue.
  • Responsible to lead customer, supplier, SQF, and regulatory audits with the multifunctional team.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in USDA/FDA background in a Food Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical industry.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Managerial and Compliance role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, preferably in Food Science and Technology.
  • Microbiology experience is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
  • HACCP Certification.
