FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performed all assigned manual labor tasks efficiently and safely
  • Maintained a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Read and accurately used a tape measure
  • Read and interpreted blueprints, layouts, and work orders
  • Communicated effectively with coworkers and supervisors
  • Operated hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
  • Built angle walls, shear walls, end walls, sidewalls, and interior walls according to layout specifications
  • Installed and secured sidewalls and end walls; strapped walls to floors and marked pier locations
  • Covered interior and exterior walls; routed and cut openings and wall materials
  • Insulated walls, applied adhesive, and completed layout work prior to wall covering
  • Constructed porch components including headers, posts, and rails
  • Built specialty structures such as snack bar islands and shipping walls
  • Assisted with start-of-line operations, including preparing cut lists for the department
  • Performed ongoing production-line repairs to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Assisted all departments as needed to support overall production goals

Qualifications

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing desired.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
