Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Forklift Operator, Operations Engineer, Industrial Maintenance
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting an asphalt plant.
J ob D uties :- Responsible for following all health and safety guidelines and reporting any issues to supervisor
- Responsible for operating and maintaining an asphalt (hot) plant
- Will be required to operate heavy equipment (loader) and/or plant controls
- Will perform general clean up at the plant
- Will operate the water truck when needed
- Will perform dispatch and weigh master duties while operating the plant
- Must be capable of troubleshooting plant operational problems, completing plant repairs and performing plant preventative maintenance duties
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs . loads and must supply own hand tools
- Responsible for daily inspection of facilities and will complete maintenance checklist.
- The position may also require occasional night and Sunday work and may be asked to work between two different locations
- 2-4 years of hot plant experience highly preferred
- Maintenance experience required
- Experience working at an aggregates plant highly preferred
- Will operate heavy equipment (loader) when needed
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be computer proficient
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
The hiring range for this position is $32.00 -$50.00 exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members.
The hiring range for this role represents the base compensation we expect to pay for the position at time of hire and does not represent the total possible base pay of the position.
