Production Worker - Shingler

Hourly Wage Range: $18.00-$19.00
SummaryUnder general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs all manual labor in the assigned area.
- Install/Replace Shingles.
- Install fill paper, flashing, drip edge.
- Keep area neat and clean.
- Read and use a tape measure.
- Read blueprints and orders.
- Communicate well with coworkers.
- Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools.
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically.
- Must understand safety procedures.
- Must have good teamwork skills.
- Must live the Champion Operating Principles.
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
- Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing desired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
