Overview
Multi-Unit Team Leader at H&R Block. Provide leadership over three tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. This role is in-person and will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall, transitioning to full-time from January to April with potential evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities- Lead daily team operations and communicate essential information to tax office associates across all offices.
- Direct leadership and development of associates; deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives for three offices.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions; conduct timely performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns.
- Foster an engaging, high-performing team environment through training and coaching; recognize outstanding contributions.
- Create associate work schedules across offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with ability to grow and develop associates.
- Proven ability to execute growth plans and lead a growth-oriented culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
