Vision for the Role:
The Facilities Generalist plays a vital role in creating a distraction‑free environment for guests by ensuring that Hume Lake facilities are operating safely and functionally. This individual performs work related to electrical installation repair, improvements, relocation, and troubleshooting in new and remodel construction. The technician will also diagnose and repair residential and commercial appliances.

• Assist in general maintenance and repairs of camp facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Hume maintains the right to reassign or change duties as needed.
• Project a friendly attitude to meet the needs of all maintenance customers.
• Build healthy relationships with all people who work in and for Maintenance.
• Ensure the Organization’s philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practiced.
• Demonstrate a Christ‑centered attitude and actively contribute to the spiritual environment of the camp.
• Work collaboratively with camp operations.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure environment for campers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas, storage spaces, and maintenance equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility‑related concerns.
• Maintain and repair camp equipment and tools as directed.
• Support seasonal preparation winterization, summer readiness).
• Perform routine inspections to ensure safety and functionality of camp buildings and grounds.

• Must be old.
• Evidenced commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel with others.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the electrical field including installation and repairs in new and remodeling construction.
• Must have the ability to read and understand construction blueprints, codes, maintenance repair manuals, appliance wiring schematics.
• Must be able to calculate electrical loads.
• Must be able to live in Hume Lake housing.
  
  Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.
• Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.

• The staff member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions and at a high altitude.

Schedule and hours may vary depending on project needs.

May include weekends or evenings as assigned.

Salary:
