Your Role With Us:As a Guest Services Specialist, Facilities, you will be responsible for upholding the operational integrity, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property. Your attention to detail and proactive approach to maintenance will ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, while also preserving the longevity and value of our physical assets. You’ll work closely with other teams to anticipate guest needs, address concerns promptly, and contribute to the overall guest experience by maintaining high standards of property upkeep.
CoreResponsibilities
Property & Grounds Maintenance
- Maintain all landscaped areas including lawns, gardens, pathways, vineyards perimeter, parking areas, fencing, and outdoor guest spaces
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems
- Perform seasonal property tasks including storm preparation, erosion control, leaf removal, and fire-safe compliance
- Monitor and maintain drainage systems, walkways, stairs, decks, and outdoor lighting for safety and appearance
Facilities Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance across all buildings including Inn, tasting room, winery production facility, offices, and staff areas
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, door and lock hardware, fixtures, and appliances
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime and guest impact
- Maintain HVAC filters, basic systems monitoring, and coordinate with licensed vendors when required
- Ensure compliance with safety, fire, health, and building standards
Winery & Production Support
- Support winery production facility needs including tank room upkeep, floor drains, hose storage, barrel room organization, and general sanitation readiness
- Assist with setup, teardown, and maintenance for harvest, bottling, and production activities as needed
- Maintain winery equipment rooms, forklifts, pallet jacks, and production-adjacent infrastructure in coordination with the winemaking team
Inn & Guest-Facing Support
- Maintain guest rooms, common areas, patios, walkways, and amenities to hospitality-level standards
- Support quick-turn maintenance needs between guest stays
- Coordinate with Inn management to prioritize guest experience and safety
- Assist with event setup and breakdown including furniture, lighting, outdoor infrastructure, and seasonal installations
Vehicles, Equipment & Asset Oversight
- Oversee routine maintenance schedules for vehicles, tractors, ATVs, forklifts, farm equipment, and utility carts
- Track service intervals, oil changes, inspections, and repairs
- Maintain tool inventory, storage areas, and maintenance logs
- Identify equipment issues early and recommend repairs or replacements
Leadership & Organization
- Serve as point person for maintenance issues and improvements
- Coordinate with ownership, management, and department leads to prioritize tasks
- Maintain organized maintenance schedules, checklists, and documentation
- Manage outside contractors and vendors when necessary
- Uphold a clean, organized, and professional maintenance workspace
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
- Experience maintaining hospitality properties, agricultural operations, wineries, hotels, resorts, or large estates
- Ability to operate and maintain power tools, landscaping equipment, and light farm machinery
