JOB DESCRIPTION

Business Analyst / Product Owner, SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) North America

This role is for a Business Analyst, SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) in our Global Product Development group. Responsible for scoping, designing and delivering tax and regulatory updates to our clients. Business Analysts combine in-depth SAP GTS expertise with the latest tax and regulatory changes to produce functional system design specifications and test strategies. Strong SAP GTS configuration skills coupled with an understanding of the underlying technology are essential to success in this role.

This position is vital in providing high quality deliverables to our clients and helping keep their mission critical enterprise applications in compliance.

• Apply SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) functional knowledge and deep understanding of legislative requirements to analyze, develop, and deliver holistic, compliant updates to our clients
• Ability to work within the Agile approach
• Ensure total product compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations through the analysis of each tax and legislative change
• Organization and communication of such information, clearly disclosing the details needed for product specialists and subscribing clients to make necessary system changes when necessary
• Serve as a liaison between the North America Tax and Regulatory team and the Development & QA teams as well as our client base, ensuring accurate dissemination of information
• Work closely with the development team to ensure adherence to the requirements and Agile user stories and that all requirements are satisfied
• Work closely with the Support Team in resolving related issues experienced by our customers
• Provide SAP GTS expertise within
  *** to help develop and promote the service offering
• Whilst this role is focused on GTS, the ability to also support the Finance team would be a bonus

North America - remote

• Significant and demonstrable experience on SAP Global Trade Services in the North America region, including how GTS interacts with other SAP finance areas. This includes:
• Classifications (HS Codes, ECCN etc)
• Embargo and Sanctions Management
• Legal Control Processes
• Product Master Data and Partner Screening
• Customs Declarations and Electronic Compliance Reporting
• Understanding of NA trade processes from a business and a legislative perspective and other regions also ideally
• Experienced in Agile (preferred, not mandatory)
• Experience working in Jira for Agile (preferred, not mandatory)
• Experienced in working with remote teams
• Ability to communicate effectively across various teams based in the NA region and globally as required
• Have a client focused or consultative approach
• Be committed to excellence and high-quality standards
• Be able to work to tight deadlines, remaining calm under pressure
