Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Management / Agile Specialist to support a high-impact U.S. Navy IT initiative. This role is critical in bridging strategic vision with tactical execution, ensuring seamless delivery across complex, multi-layered work streams.
As a key contributor, you will:
- Apply proven PM and Agile methodologies to guide project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Translate strategic program goals into actionable, measurable project plans.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams to adopt best practices for iterative delivery.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across technical and operational domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to manage risks, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting U.S. Navy IT programs
- Extensive experience managing Navy IT programs within Agile environments.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong background in risk management, Agile coaching, and performance optimization.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility settings with competing priorities.
- Strong experience in project planning, coordination, and execution
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with technical project management concepts and client solution development
- Experience with IT performance management and IT governance frameworks
- Understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes
- Experience with vendor and contract management, including SLAs
- Certifications preferred (one or more): PMP (Project Management Professional), SAFe Program Consultant, SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Agile Practitioner
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans that align with overarching program objectives.
- Author user stories, acceptance criteria, test strategies, and other Agile artifacts to support iterative delivery.
- Champion Agile adoption across teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate program risks, issues, and interdependencies.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives in accordance with established IT governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment.
- Lead or contribute to the development of program baselines, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a subject matter expert in project management best practices.
