Group Sales Manager

Granlibakken Tahoe, located in a picturesque 74-acre wooded valley near Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe, offers a serene retreat in every season. The resort features 24,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, family-friendly accommodations, award-winning catering, a ski hill, and an onsite spa.

Guests and groups alike can unwind, connect, and enjoy the natural beauty through a variety of recreational activities, from hiking to the Treetop Adventure Park.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tahoe City, CA, for a Group Sales Manager. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to attract group bookings, including business conferences, retreats, weddings, and special events. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and pursuing leads, maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. The role involves collaboration with the operations and catering teams to ensure client satisfaction and the successful execution of events.

• Experience in Sales, Business Development, and Relationship Management
• Proven ability in Negotiation, Client Communication, and Account Management
• Knowledge of Event Planning, Group Booking Practices, and Hospitality Industry Standards
• Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills
• Proficiency with CRM Software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated with excellent Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities
• Previous experience in hospitality, event management, or tourism is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred

• Ability to walk at least 5 miles per work day, including stairs and uneven and icy ground
• Ability to carry loads of 25 pounds between venues and buildings
• Ability to change work days and times based on group activity at the resort

$24.00 - 26.00 per hour - Groups Sales Managers earn a base hourly wage and have a commission agreement.
