The Valet Attendant/Driver is responsible for the safe operation and transport of guest vehicles on company property, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls. Responsible for transporting guests to and from property in company issued vehicle as requested. Team Member will work under immediate supervision. This position relies on limited experience, instructions, pre-established guidelines and good judgment to perform the functions of the job.
PrimaryDuties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
- All team members are obligated to support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel’s Standards of Excellence as outlined in the Team Member Guide to Success.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
- Assists customers promptly and courteously in Valet check-in and checkout.
- Retrieves all pick-ups from the Valet lot (weather conditions permitting) in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with established safety guidelines.
- Promptly clears valet drop‑off area of cars to be parked.
- Parks vehicles in designated areas of the property, then accurately records the location of the vehicle onto a Valet receipt, which is attached to the appropriate keys and stored in the Valet office until the guest is ready to leave the property.
- Presents a clean, neat and well‑groomed appearance, wearing only the designated Valet uniform while on the job.
- Responsible for accurately maintaining an inventory count of all valet keys checked in and out of the Valet Department.
- Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Effectively communicates with the Lead Valet Attendant.
- Maintains a working knowledge of company facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possession of valid California Driver License and a good driving record. Must be insurable by Valley View Casino & Hotel’s insurance policy.
- Physical endurance and stamina in order to quickly retrieve and park guest vehicles.
- Ability to speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals written in the English language.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form referring back to established guidelines and policies and procedures.
