Position: Site Safety & Health Officer, Level 1 (L1 SSHO)

Overview

Position Title:

Site Safety & Health Officer, Level 1 (L1 SSHO) — Area of Requirement:
Scott AFB, Illinois

Scope of Position:
Manages the Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) program for all O&M work performed under the task order, ensuring EM 385-1-1 and OSHA compliance and providing site safety coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Accident Prevention Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses.
  • Conduct safety inspections, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Maintain training compliance for safety-related requirements.
  • Coordinate site safety coverage for remote locations.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and response procedures are in place and followed.
Mandatory Experience and Certifications
  • OSHA 30-hour training.
  • 24 hours formal SOH training in past 5 years.
  • 5 years’ cumulative safety experience in similar projects.
  • Must meet EM 385-1-1 L1 SSHO qualifications.
Preferred/Desired Certifications
  • Experience in Government Healthcare Management and Safety
