The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support and lead key components of the District’s financial operations. The Senior Accountant performs advanced professional accounting work, supports budget development, leads financial reporting functions, and ensures compliance with governmental accounting standards. This role serves as the primary liaison with auditors and provides financial insight to support District operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Five (5) years of professional experience supporting finance and accounting programs

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
- Support and monitor the development and maintenance of the District’s annual budget.
- Serve as a trusted fiduciary to District management and staff.
- Track and audit District accounts, funds, transactions, accountancy, and records for accuracy and compliance.
