- Financial Accuracy & Compliance:
Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. - Month-end Close:
Perform month-end close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements. - Cash & Trust Oversight:
Monitor trust and operating accounts to ensure reconciliation accuracy and proper posting. - Control Implementation & Process Standardization:
Design and implement internal controls, policies, and standardized workflows across acquired entities. - Post-acquisition Consistency:
Ensure consistency in reporting and accounting processes post-acquisition. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with finance, IT, legal, and operations teams to align integration timelines and deliverables; serve as a key accounting contact for acquired agencies during transition periods. - Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and review monthly financial reports; analyze variances, trends, and key metrics, providing insights and recommendations. - Banking & Cash Flow Oversight:
Monitor daily banking activity and oversee related reconciliations. - Leadership & Mentorship:
Train and mentor accounting staff involved in integration activities; promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or controlling experience, preferably within M&A or multi-entity environments.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with agency management or ERP systems such as Applied Epic, AMS
360, or Hawk Soft. - Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in fast-paced integration environments.
- Primarily office-based with potential travel of up to 10–20% as needed.
