Accountant, Finance

Overview

The Finance Accountant is responsible for properly performing all financial activities related to the General Ledger Accounting Department, in accordance with established policies, procedures and controls. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.

• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
• Performs cash management and reconciliation of daily bank activity; informs management of available balance; inspects for fraudulence; reconciles credit card sale and refund transactions.
• Maintains General Ledger system; reviews accuracy of transactions posted; review monthly activity against budget and investigates variances.
• Performs various account reconciliations and maintains balance sheet reconciliation records.
• Tracks, records, and reconciles fixed assets; prepares monthly depreciation schedules and record information on General Ledger; conducts annual inventory; tags new acquisitions, dispose of assets leaving property and log movement of assets; prepares monthly capital expenditure (CAPEX) summary report.
• Reconciles and processes spreadsheet/documentation to pay taxes; reconciles and records biweekly payroll; prepares monthly slot count.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – Typically requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent and minimum of two years of related experience.

Pay range: $28.00 - $36.40 per hour

* Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.

This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
