Wyman-Gordon: Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all of the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines. Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications.

Location Profile: Located in South Gate, California, Shultz Steel is a state‑of‑the‑art forging company specializing in large complex open and closed die forgings for the aerospace industry. We are a supplier of forged products to customers worldwide, with quality accreditations for all the major airframe manufacturers. As a vertically integrated company, Shultz processes include everything from vacuum arc re‑melting of low alloy steels to target machining of impression die forged product.

Shultz manufactures structural forgings for both civil and military airframes, as well as seamless rolled rings for jet engine, industrial, and space applications. Certification clerk issues certifications for customer shipments, lot number, heat treatment data, material certs, independent testing of heat treat process, retrieve process certifications and match with relevant shipments. The Certification Clerk stores the receiving inspection documents using computer software, ERP system/doc database, following procedures and certification codes.

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Issue, review and maintain production and supplier quality certifications, as required. Review quality certifications against purchase order, drawing and specification requirements for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist and/or prepare data packs for any products as necessary. Priority will be established by the Quality Manager or the quality engineers or heat treat supervisor. This responsibility may include working with buyers and program managers.
• Scan and file documents including supplier certs daily as necessary.
• Update Quality document logs (SCAR, NCR, CAR, SSR status, etc.).
• Assist in and/or documentation of quality requirements.
• Assist in quality systems processes including internal audits (training will be provided.) and MRB meetings.
• Cross‑train with facility administrator to provide back‑up responsibilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
