Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Environment, Safety and Health Engineer. In this role you will learn the basics of the site ESH program and site operations.
Which may include:
Fall protection, LOTO, Confined Space, Hazard Commination, PPE, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste, PPE Industrial Hygiene, Incident Investigation, etc. and how these subjects apply to site operations. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Will be interacting with EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with handling hazardous waste which may include sealing, labeling, and handling hazardous waste containers.
- Write and update ESH command media and procedures.
- Familiarization with California-Hazardous Waste & California Air Resource Board Regulations
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree program from accredited college/university in safety, environmental, and/or industrial hygiene such as:
Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Health or related.
- Must obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Clearance, pass a drug and background check, and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, work outdoors in inclement weather, and be on your feet for long stretches of time.
- The successful candidate must be able to work on-call and varied shifts on occasion
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired
Skills:
- Knowledge of OSHA and/or EPA regulations
- Knowledge/Experience in Environmental Health and Safety subject areas, such as one of the following:
Fall protection, LOTO, Confined Space, Hazard Communication, PPE, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste, PPE Industrial Hygiene, Incident Investigations
- Experience managing ESH programs in manufacturing, production, or DoD environments
- Hazardous Waste Management experience/knowledge
- Write and update ESH command media and procedures
- Ability to analyze complex technical data from chemical data sheets and environmental health surveys using logical and quantitative reasoning
- Ability to deliver oral presentations that persuade others to accept specific actions or opinions and to explain procedures and policies clearly
- Ability to support field operations and work independently after 6 months of employment - Familiarization with California-Hazardous Waste & California Air Resource Board Regulations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $54,900 - $96,830. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
