Responsible for planning and managing manufacturing projects from initial contract review through final shipment. Review contracts, drawings, models, and specifications; create estimates, job releases, and bills of materials; coordinate material sourcing; and collaborate with shop personnel, engineers, and program management to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Review contracts, drawings, engineering data packages, and specifications
- Create project estimates and initiate job releases from those estimates
- Calculate material requirements using ERP software, and coordinate with purchasing to source materials and outside services from approved vendors
- Monitor job progress and maintain accurate status reporting
- Serve as liaison between production floor and engineering to address technical challenges
- Keep program management informed of delivery schedules and proactively address any concerns
- Own full project lifecycle accountability from planning through shipment
- Other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma/GED
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- 2+ years in production planning, project coordination, or manufacturing engineering
- Solid understanding of machining/fabrication operations and associated processes
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
- Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS2/E2 experience valued)
- 3D CAD experience (Solid Works) preferred
- Effective communicator with strong attention to detail
