Mechanical Engineer Job Description
Mechanical Engineer with technical expertise and industry knowledge to design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and products. This role includes integrating new products into existing operations, troubleshooting, prototyping, and collaborating across departments to support innovation and efficiency.
The Mechanical Engineer will handle multiple projects simultaneously at different stages and work under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering. The candidate should be capable of performing most job functions independently and providing guidance to other engineering and production staff.

Manufacturing Operations include:Mechanical systems, electrical systems, prototyping, testing, and quality control.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing and product development.
- Provide support for installation and start-up of new processes and equipment.
- Oversee cost‑effective, safe, and timely completion of projects.
- Evaluate equipment and process capabilities and make recommendations on design and materials selection.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, recommend and implement improvements, and measure results.
- Provide technical support on production, product, or quality issues as required.
- Conduct tests, simulations, and evaluations to improve and innovate machine and product designs.
- Create plans and designs using CAD software.
- Estimate budgets and project timelines.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to solicit quotations for components from potential suppliers.
- Participate and provide feedback in R&D and cross‑functional meetings.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering roles
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
- Schedule flexibility with willingness to work extra hours as needed
Above‑average knowledge of mathematics required. Ability to apply concepts of probability, statistical inference, algebra, and geometry to practical situations. Ability to calculate fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and work with measurement‑based calculations.
Reasoning Ability NeededAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and handle abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret technical instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
