About the Role We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to support production, engineering, and suppliers in ensuring quality standards are met. This role is key to advanced quality planning, supplier quality improvements, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support new product development and change management.
- Perform First Article Inspections and internal audits (ISO 9001/IAPMO).
- Manage calibration, nonconformance reporting and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain QMS documentation.
- Ensure manufacturing follows predetermined quality standards.
- Report supplier non-conformances and coordinate containment processes.
- Support Applications Engineering and Operations with production print clarifications.
- Mentor Quality Technicians and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain quality records and attend trade shows to benchmark improvements.
Qualifications Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of blueprint reading.
Experience with various forklifts and stock-handling (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Working knowledge of 8D/Safety problem-solving.
ZEBS knowledge (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen) a plus.
Ability to work with hand gauges (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Machining, foundry, or sheet metal background a plus.
FARO or CMM knowledge a plus.
