Overview

Release Train Engineer (TEMPO), TS/SCI at Blue Sky Innovators

Role involves providing programmatic, execution, and administrative support to Government Program Directors and Managers for ACAT-1 equivalent military acquisition programs. The position requires extensive acquisition, operational, and engineering experience, with a focus on monitoring program execution and the integration of complex programs and multi-domain command and control (C2) systems.

Responsibilities
  • Translate acquisition and operational priorities into executable software development and integration plans.
  • Monitor system development and integration; communicate progress and risks to program management; identify and clear blockers to success through deep understanding of C2 systems.
  • Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and technical evaluations; support mission integration and government program offices.
  • Assist the C2 system transition to operations through TTP and CONEMP development; align system development with operational training and planning; provide guidance to PMOs and MAJCOMs on standing up an operational squadron; coordinate across system stakeholders including corporate developers, government test units, and program offices; be responsible for space segment integration into the system of systems.
  • May perform budget analysis, help develop POM inputs, and analyze financial execution of the program(s).
  • Provide support to the organization’s leadership in meetings with other organizations and industry; travel domestically and abroad as required (CONUS/OCONUS).
Qualifications

  • Experience developing, reviewing, and coordinating acquisition documentation such as SOWs, RFPs, and technical evaluations; mission integration; and government program office support.
  • Supported C2 system transition to operations through TTP and CONEMP development; aligned system development with operational training and planning; provided guidance to PMOs and MAJCOMs on standing up an operational squadron; coordinated across system stakeholders including corporate developers, government test units, and program offices; space segment integration into the system of systems.
  • May perform budget analysis, develop POM inputs, and analyze financial execution of the program(s).
  • Support to leadership in meetings with other organizations and industry; willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
Education
  • Master of Science or Engineering Degree in a relevant field
Experience

7+ years of experience supporting national security programs as an engineer, systems engineer, and/or in a technical program management capacity.

Clearance Requirements
  • Current/active Top Secret/SCI; current or recent DoD SAP access
  • Subject to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph

Salary range for the position is $165,000 - $185,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by experience, education, skills, and knowledge. Benefits include medical/dental/vision and 401k contribution.
