Full-Time (12-month), Exempt, Category 2

Salary commensurate with experience

The Middle School Dean at Oaks Christian School is a key leadership position responsible for fostering a positive and enriching school culture. This individual will collaborate closely with the administrative team to implement and uphold the school's values of trust, respect, and growth. The Dean will play a pivotal role in promoting the culture playbook and ensuring that daily cultural norms are enforced throughout the school.

• Culture Promotion and Enforcement
• Collaborate with the administrative team to promote a positive school culture.
• Implement and uphold the school's culture playbook, ensuring alignment with the school's values.
• Enforce day-to-day cultural norms, including:
• Uniform compliance
• Attendance expectations
• Support teachers in the classroom to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Oversee Advisory Program
• Create and develop first five experience
• Work alongside the Vice Principal to form advisory groups
• Create advisory curriculum alongside the Spiritual Life Director
• Student Leadership Development
• Work closely with student leaders to cultivate a strong sense of community and leadership among peers.
• Guide students in the following areas:
• Spiritual Growth Programming:
  Facilitate programs that encourage spiritual development.
• Culture Building and Promotion:
  Foster initiatives that enhance school spirit and pride among students.
• Service Initiatives:
  Lead students in creating and participating in community service projects, reinforcing the importance of giving back.
• Communication and Collaboration
• Engage with parents, teachers, and students to maintain open lines of communication regarding cultural expectations and student development.
• Collaborate with the administrative team to address any challenges related to student behavior and culture.
• Teacher Support
• Pod Supervision
• Classroom Management support and tools
• Observations and feedback on instructional style
• Offer support that fosters a learning environment that focus on well-being of both teachers and students in the classroom

• A strong commitment to the mission and values of Oaks Christian School.
• Proven experience in educational leadership, preferably in a middle school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and guide students in their personal and spiritual growth.

• Bachelor's degree in education with a master's degree preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency in MS Office and other online platforms
• Commitment to a lifestyle above reproach in line with OCS Statement of Faith and Biblical Worldview.
