Job Description

Primary

Purpose:

Assists the campus principal with directing and managing the instructional program, supervising operations, and supervising personnel at the campus level. Provides leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Assists with monitoring the compliance of district policies, success of instructional programs, and operations of all campus activities.

Qualifications

Minimum

Education/Certification:

Texas Principal or Mid-Management Certification

Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation & Support System (T-TESS) appraiser (or obtain within 90 days of employment).

Candidate must have a satisfactory outcome of a fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.

Required Experience:

Three (3) years’ teaching and leadership experience

Knowledge/

Skills:

  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to manage budget and personnel
  • Ability to coordinate campus functions
  • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
  • Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data to make instructional decisions

The administrator promotes academic improvements by assisting the campus principal by:

  • Monitoring student achievement and attendance to ensure academic success.

  • Encouraging innovation and research-based instructional programs. Integrating emerging technologies to enhance classroom instruction.
School Culture and Climate

The administrator fosters a positive and inclusive school culture by:

  • Creating a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment.
