Overview
Current position available for a part-time instructor and Head Coach / Athletic Director duties. The role includes instructional responsibilities for Men's and Women's Cross-County / Long-Distance Track, coaching responsibilities, and administrative oversight of the athletic program as assigned by the District. Position may involve day, evening, and weekend responsibilities.
Compensation- Hourly salary (based on degree) for instruction, with an annual stipend of $14,400 for coaching (paid over 12 months).
- Coach and supervise the Men's and Women's Cross-Country/Long-Distance Track teams during practice and meets. As Athletic Director, establish and manage all aspects of the Athletic Program. Assignment may include day, evening, and weekend duties as assigned by the District.
- Perform the ancillary duties of Head Coach and/or Athletic Director as assigned.
- Instructional responsibilities include meeting classes, publishing syllabi, maintaining office hours, advising students on course content, grading criteria, degree requirements, SLOs, enrichment opportunities, and career opportunities related to the subject field.
- Develop and implement instruction aligned with the Course Outline of Record (COR) and program standards; develop a written syllabus; assess and advise students on progress; maintain records and submit grades by policy deadlines.
- Refer students to tutoring and related services; supervise students in off-campus activities as required; ensure compliance with District policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate and submit necessary forms and maintain official records as required by District procedures.
- Respond to administration regarding evaluation of student petitions and grievances.
- Adhere to District regulations regarding equipment use, safety, and security; raise unsafe conditions promptly.
- Demonstrate awareness of diverse backgrounds and provide an inclusive environment for students.
- Head Coach responsibilities: organize, direct, and administer the Men's and Women's Cross-Country/Long-Distance Track program, including recruiting from diverse student groups.
- Be familiar with CCCAA, conference, and Copper Mountain College rules; complete required CCCAA trainings annually; coordinate home game staff and contest scheduling.
- Develop fundraising programs, engage with booster clubs, and collaborate with Counseling and faculty to monitor academic progress and support transfers.
- Attend coaching, athletics, and faculty meetings; maintain professional conduct and ethics; report statistics to CCCAA and media; lead recruiting in compliance with CCCAA regulations; maintain a roster of 8-12 student-athletes.
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate practices and games; travel with teams as needed; enforce team rules and behavioral expectations; prepare teams for competition; maintain records and provide end-of-season reports.
- Communicate with athletes during the off-season as appropriate.
• Associate degree and 6 years coaching experience or 4-year degree and 2 years coaching experience.

Previous intercollegiate cross-country coaching experience (2 years in the past 5 years) or equivalent successful coaching experience.
