Overview

Copper Mountain College is now hiring Student Workers. You must be a current student taking at least 6 units at Copper Mountain College to apply. Applications will be archived at the end of every year. If you have not been offered a position but are still interested, you will need to reapply each year. This posting covers opportunities in multiple departments across the college.

We hire student workers in many areas and also hire tutors to assist in the Student Success Center and in the Learning Resource Center. Please apply to both the Student Worker job posting and the Tutor job posting if you are interested in both types of student employment. To start the process, fill out the application and include your resume and class schedule.

You will have to reapply each semester as the application packets will be archived.

Some duties include:

  • Assist the department(s) that you are hired for. You may be asked to work in other areas as well.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Your exact duties will be different from department to department. We hire student workers for almost every department in the district.
  • Eligibility Requirements

To work in the Fall or Spring semester a student must be enrolled in 6 units or more at CMC (not on a waiting list). A student may work during the Summer break without being enrolled in Summer classes if they meet the eligibility requirements for the immediately following Fall semester; if not, they must carry 3 units during the Summer Session.

To be eligible to work during the Winter break, the student must meet the eligibility requirements for a regular semester.

All student employees must maintain at least a 2.0 G.P.A. for continued employment, except students assigned as tutors or classroom aides who must have a 3.0 G.P.A. in the subject matter.
