Position: Associate Dean for Student Affairs
Location: Homeland

* Deliver academic counseling and guidance on graduation requirements and academic pathways.
* Design, implement, and evaluate professional development programming for law students.
* Advise student-focused programs and collaborate with faculty on student academic needs.
* Maintain accurate and accessible academic advising resources using university systems and web platforms.
* Develop, interpret, and operationalize academic policies with the Records Office, Dean’s Office, and other campus partners.
* Understand and monitor accreditation standards for ABA and other institutional accreditors, oversee related record-keeping and documentation, and work with the Dean and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to ensure compliance.
* Coordinate major academic events—including New Student Orientation, exam administration, Commencement, mentor programs, and an annual student recognition lunch..
* Produce and update policy statements, advising documents, and web content using institutional content management systems.
* Manage international student exchange programs
* Evaluate student petitions regarding a variety of academic and student issues, making decisions independently, or, when appropriate, in consultation with the Academic Dean or Dean of the Law School.
* Review and certify documentation related to bar admission, character and fitness, enrollment status, and other legal requirements.
* Administer the Academic Integrity and Conduct Code, conducting initial reviews and drafting recommendations based on collected information.
* Collaborate with faculty, staff, and university officials to resolve complex or sensitive student concerns.
* Add* Proficient in interpreting and applying academic policies, legal requirements, and procedural frameworks relevant to law school operations
* Excellent communication skills, including clear, thoughtful, and persuasive writing and speaking across varied audiences
* Superior counseling and guidance skills to support students navigating complex academic and personal circumstances
* Extremely organized and self-directed in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment
* Proficient in using student information systems, records platforms, and content management tools, including learning management systems and web-editing software
* Excellent judgment in handling sensitive, confidential, and time-critical information
* Superior relationship-building skills that support collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and external partners
* Extremely attentive to detail in reviewing documents, drafting recommendations, and ensuring procedural accuracy
* Proficient in event planning and coordination using scheduling platforms and communication tools
* Excellent conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills when working with individuals experiencing challenges or presenting complex concerns
* Superior supervisory and leadership behaviors that promote accountability, clarity, and growth within a team
* Extremely committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment where all students and colleagues feel respected and supported
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field
* Six years of professional experience in roles involving student support, academic advising, counseling, or comparable work
* Relevant training, certification, or combined education and experience
* Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association–accredited law school or a master’s degree in counseling, higher education, public administration, business, human resources, or a related field
* Eight years of professional experience in student affairs, counseling, or academic administration
* Experience working in higher education settings

* FLSA Status:
Exempt* $125,000 -$135,000 per year, considering experience
