Marin Catholic currently has an opening for a full-time Theology Teacher in the 2026-27 school year.
Position will begin August 2026.
The Theology at Marin Catholic, in conjunction with Campus Ministry, strives to give each student a sense of compassion, peace, and connectedness to each other and God while exhibiting the gospel values taught to us by Christ. While educating the whole person, we avail our students of the opportunity for prayer, reflection, fellowship and service during retreats, sacramental preparation, all-school liturgies and many other faith programs.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate deep familiarity with the philosophical foundations of the Catholic intellectual tradition and connect them to the intellectual study of theology. This person exemplifies a love for souls and desires to lead students to an encounter with the Living God. He or she is a person of prayer, who believes and utilizes the power of the Sacraments.
Demonstration of docility and eagerness to master the arts of evangelism and pedagogy is vital.
- Degree in Theology or Religious Studies or related field
- Catholic high school teaching experience, preferred
- Practicing Catholic in good standing, required
- Desire to share his/her faith journey
- Student focused and lifelong learner
- Teaching credential, preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, student and staff
- Maintains best professional practices in communicating with peers, students and parents
Salary ($73,866-$116,037) and benefits are according to a Union contract.
Full-time Faculty are eligible for benefits including health and dental insurance, medical and dependent care flex plan, Archdiocesan pension, and 403b.
