Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. Job Summary

Substitute classified is an on-call as needed position. Substitutes may work in a variety of different positions depending on their work experience.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ & FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • TB clearance (Required upon hire)
  • Safety Supervisors

Required documents (must be attached with your application):

  • Current Resume
  • 2 professional letters of recommendation dated within the past 12 months (must be from a former or current supervisor)

BLANK or INCOMPLETE applications WILL NOT be accepted. Please note that if your work/volunteer experience does not match any of the positions available to substitute, your application will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed on an as‑needed basis. Selected candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ and FBI. Once candidates clear TB and fingerprints they will be invited to attend a mandatory orientation.
