About Plumas District Hospital

• ED Volume: 5,000
• ED Beds: 4
• Staffing Model: 12-, 24-, or 48-hour shifts available

• New Sonosite purchased for ED in July 2025
• Dedicated well-stocked ED physician sleep room
• On-call services include FP, general surgery, GYN (FP covers Peds/OB), cardiology, ortho, telemedicine access to other specialists, and easy higher level of care transfer referral availability
• Pediatric telemedicine in ED
• Family Medicine Physicians with at least six months of emergency department experience are eligible to work at this hospital
• Family Medicine Residents are allowed to moonlight in the ED
