Madera Community Hospital is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our Emergency Department team. This role offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering timely, evidence‑based emergency care while contributing to departmental growth, quality improvement initiatives, and a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
- Rapidly assess, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and traumatic injuries
- Collaborate closely with on‑call specialists, hospitalists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
- Participate in Emergency Department quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
- Engage in shared shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Active California medical license or eligibility
- Strong commitment to mission‑driven, community‑focused care
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a high‑acuity environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
