Landscape Architect​/Designer

Design Focus International is an award winning and environmentally focused design-build firm that creates lasting, quality landscapes for large-scale commercial and residential projects. We are located in a beautiful garden setting in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

This is an in-office position with a possibility of a hybrid schedule for the right candidate. Some field work and travel will be required in the Santa Cruz area and Silicon Valley. A reliable mode of transportation is required.

• 3-5 years professional work experience in Landscape Architecture office
• 3-5 years AutoCAD drafting experience
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.

• Ability to meet deadlines
• Technical understanding of construction drawings and details. Applicant must be able to read and understand schematic and construction document drawings
• Able to follow office drafting standards
• Working independently and efficiently on multiple projects
• Managing large AutoCAD drawing files with multiple reference files (X-)
• Knowledge of Sketch Up is preferred
• Knowledge of Photoshop and the Adobe Suite is expected

• Prepare plans and documents from schematic design through construction administration
• CAD file management and file sharing skills are essential for the position.
• Site Measuring
• Perform takeoffs for cost estimates and bid packages
• Provide general support and assistance to other members of the team
• Assist in general office and in-the-field needs
