Design Focus International is an award winning and environmentally focused design-build firm that creates lasting, quality landscapes for large-scale commercial and residential projects. We are located in a beautiful garden setting in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
This is an in-office position with a possibility of a hybrid schedule for the right candidate. Some field work and travel will be required in the Santa Cruz area and Silicon Valley. A reliable mode of transportation is required.
- 3-5 years professional work experience in Landscape Architecture office
- 3-5 years AutoCAD drafting experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Technical understanding of construction drawings and details. Applicant must be able to read and understand schematic and construction document drawings
- Able to follow office drafting standards
- Working independently and efficiently on multiple projects
- Managing large AutoCAD drawing files with multiple reference files (X-)
- Knowledge of Sketch Up is preferred
- Knowledge of Photoshop and the Adobe Suite is expected
- Prepare plans and documents from schematic design through construction administration
- CAD file management and file sharing skills are essential for the position.
- Site Measuring
- Perform takeoffs for cost estimates and bid packages
- Provide general support and assistance to other members of the team
- Assist in general office and in-the-field needs
