Job Description
We are NBCUniversal's enterprise-wide Standards department. Our team develops and implements content policies that center our viewers and excite our collaborators, including creators, advertisers, and brand partners, to deliver the best experience for all audiences. We support innovative advertising and culture-defining entertainment programs while ensuring that NBCUniversal's advertising and program content reflects the sensibilities of our company and respects our varied community of fans.
We are seeking a capable, highly motivated Coordinator. You will play a cross-functional role that requires extensive collaboration with teams across NBCUniversal, as well as external partners. As a Coordinator for the Standards department, you will support the West Coast team across a wide range of responsibilities, serve as a key liaison in interactions with internal divisions and external organizations, and provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the SVP, Standards.
You will be a tactful, effective communicator and an organized multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. You will also provide operational support to the SVP, Standards as needed.
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA and reports to the Manager, Standards. We are a geographically distributed department with teams in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, so you will be expected to partner effectively and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across the department, including our other department Coordinators.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Providing broad administrative support to the department, including scheduling and assisting with meetings and presentations, maintaining department records, updating and tracking assignments, reconciling expenses, and ordering supplies.
* Serving as the main point of contact for department inquiries, including commercial approval status, website registration requests, general IT matters, and issues with internal systems.
* Providing proactive, timely follow-up for all requests and building strong ongoing relationships with internal and external partners, engaging and communicating clearly and with confidence.
* Proactively monitoring department systems and processes and developing and implementing innovative ideas that improve the way we work and support cross-team collaboration and information sharing.
* At the direction of the SVP, preparing agendas, presentations, and briefing materials and managing logistics for key meetings and events, including AV setup, catering, and follow-up on action items.
* Assisting the SVP with planning and executing team-building activities, workshops, and offsites that foster engagement across the department.
* At the direction of the SVP, supporting other department initiatives and special projects, including tracking deliverables and managing timelines.
* Training and collaborating with Pages and Interns on their day-to-day duties and providing backup to them as needed.
* Completing assigned projects in a timely manner; tracking status, timelines, and milestones and communicating updates to stakeholders clearly and accurately.
* Operating the delay mechanism during live programming, including outside regular work hours, as needed.
* Maintaining complete confidentiality and discretion regarding all business matters.
Qualifications
* BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum one (1) year of full-time work experience; prior administrative support, media internship, or Page Program experience a plus.
