Century Group is collaborating with a growing accounting and tax firm in the San Fernando Valley. They are seeking certified Tax professionals to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $23 to $26 per hour.
Some of the Duties/Responsibilities Include:
- Consults with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities
- Reviews previous tax returns and financial documents to identify missing or incomplete information or documentation
- Reviews all supplied financial information for accuracy
- Uses the appropriate accounting software or system to prepare tax returns
- Calculates taxes owed or refunds due to client; consults tax law publications for guidance on unusual situations
- Submits tax returns to accountant for review
- Presents approved returns to clients
- Files tax returns for clients
- Degree in taxation or accounting required
- Enrolled Agent and/or CPA certification may be required
- 1+ years of tax preparation experience
- Experience using tax preparation software and applications
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent accounting skills
- Good customer service skills
