Our client is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to prepare the company owner's personal taxes and all related dbas or legal entities and partnership, and S corporation income tax returns prepared in-house.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $55 to $60 per hour.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Preparation income tax returns for federal and state jurisdictions
- Preparation of tax return extensions and four quarterly estimated tax payments
- Monitor the collection of tax data requested from divisions for preparation of income tax returns
- Assist outside consultants with tax return compliance and liaise with division for information on issues
- Prepare BNA software tax depreciation and its components for Murdock Companies
- Prepare and maintain "permanent schedules"
- Maintain tax records, electronic tax database for income tax returns and work papers for legal entities annually
- Conduct federal and state tax research
- Experience with individual income tax, S-corporations, partnerships, and SMLLCs
- Strong computer skills (Excel and Word)
- Experience with tax preparation and research programs (i.e., CCH Axcess Tax, BNA)
- Effective oral and written communications skills
