Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. This is a hybrid position, with two days being onsite in their Encino, CA office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
Job Description:
- Prepare tax returns and provide tax advice
- Contact and/or follow up with clients to send in documentation needed to substantiate returns
- Perform technical review of tax returns prepared by other staff members
- Meet with clients via video or phone conference or, occasionally, in-person
- Strong willingness and eagerness to learn new technical subject areas and changing tax law
- Collaborate with Partners and other staff for tax planning and advisory needs for clients
- Research government notices and seeks resolution from the IRS, FTB or other state and local taxing authorities
- Strong commitment to client confidentiality
- Organized and efficient
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and multiple clients independently
- Proficient in Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience
