Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $90,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions in Property tax revenue and expense.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and recommendations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
