Job Description:
Duties:
The Pharmacist is responsible for managing and dispensing medications to incarcerated individuals in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. This role ensures safe, effective, and ethical pharmaceutical care within a correctional environment, supporting the health and well-being of the inmate population. Secure correctional facility environment. Requires adherence to strict security protocols and procedures.
Requirements
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice.
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of clinical or institutional pharmacy experience (correctional healthcare experience preferred).
Skills:
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, regulations, and controlled substance management; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a secure and structured environment.
