Job Overview:
We are hiring a licensed Mental Health Coordinator (MHC) for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility located in California City, CA. This role focuses on providing direct, non-medical clinical mental health services to an incarcerated population. Candidates must be comfortable working in secure settings and must meet state licensure and federal clearance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct mental health assessments through clinical interviews and review of inmate records
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Provide therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention
• Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of psychological counseling theory and methods
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinical and facility standards

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
• Active, unrestricted LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in California
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a similar setting
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for ICE clearance)
• ICE Clearance Screening Form required for submission
• Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers license preferred unless required by local regulations
• Must have open availability
