Compensation range: $125,500 - $165,410. Based on our San Diego office location. (West Yost uses geographic salary differentials that would apply for candidates in other regions).

OTCR Senior Technical Specialist II

Basic job function

Responsible for establishing the foundation and operational processes and procedures to implement cybersecurity analysis, detection, and incident response services supporting the protection of West Yost clients. Drive enterprise defense-in-depth layers, collaborating with cybersecurity architects and engineers to ensure services and capabilities are built into solutions that promote visibility, data collection, analysis, threat modeling, and incident response.

Essential duties and accountabilities (in order of importance)

• Provide network and system specification documentation deliverables to address cybersecurity vulnerabilities and the security controls necessary to mitigate the vulnerabilities to an acceptable level of risk.
• Establish and lead aspects of incident detection, response, and recovery services driving cybersecurity analysis, detection, and IOC development.
• Serve as the project team’s cybersecurity consultant and designer to facilitate reliable, safe, and secure network and system designs satisfied by the various project constraints.
• Provide client consulting assistance to include master planning in conformance with standards, policies, procedures, and directives relevant to the owner/client industry.
• Support the development of cybersecurity technical roadmaps and documentation to drive constant cyber transformation and improvements in detect/defend capabilities.
• Build your reputation as a cybersecurity leader, and provide mentorship across the team, ITS, and business members.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
• 12-15 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communications and analytical skills

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• PE License
• Emphasis on environmental/water resources engineering
• Ability to process engineering calculations unaided, compile plans and organize basic designs
• Proven ability to managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Must effectively communicate with all project team members
