Your OpportunityAs a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facilities. You’ll identify existing and potential issues across building structures, mechanical systems, and equipment, and take the best course of action—whether repair or replacement.
Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance tasks daily, including electrical, plumbing, painting, plastering, and light repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines and conveyor systems.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts; order and install replacements.
- Diagnose causes of unexpected machine breakdowns and repair promptly.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting work performed.
- Maintain organized shop areas, inventory, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance and collaborate on new product modifications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintenance experience and formal training in one or more areas: light electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, refurbishing, and cleaning.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wire schematics, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in maintaining detailed records of preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools; forklift experience preferred.
- Experience driving a box truck is helpful.
- Ability to safely use ladders and telescopic lifts.
- Good communication skills.
Basic understanding of building mechanical processes and/or construction.
EducationHigh school diploma or trade certificate with applicable industry experience.
Working Conditions- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed. - Work Environment:
Primarily indoors in a warehouse setting; occasional exposure to seasonal weather conditions. - Physical Demands:
Frequent walking, lifting, bending, and standing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and reading, as well as frequent movement and working in varying temperatures. - Physical Requirements:
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The salary range for this role is $22 to $25/hr. and a yearly bonus potential. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
