Roll Up Operator - 3rd Shift

Requisition

Mohawk is looking for a Roll Up Operator in the Calhoun, Ga area. In this role, you will operate the roll up machine.

• Ensure carpet is cut at proper length
• Make sure all defects are cut out
• Help in wrapping rolls for shipment and in oven detail as needed
• Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly manner
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• No prior experience required

• Problem solving ability is required
• Interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, mechanical skills, math skills and judgement skills
• Pays attention to details
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
• Must be able to motivate and work well with others

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balance
• Frequently required to look at the carpet for cutting roll size
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds continuously throughout an 8-12 hour shift
• Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled
