Customer Service Representative (Outpatient Clinic)

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual developmental disabilities. Join us and be the welcoming face of our outpatient clinic.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) greets and directs individuals as they enter the facility, ensuring a smooth front‑desk experience. The CSR is knowledgeable about all programs and services and maintains confidentiality and professional standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Customer service oriented, providing friendly assistance to all visitors and callers.
  • Promptly answer, screen, and process telephone inquiries while adhering to confidentiality policies.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed.
  • Return all telephone messages in a timely manner.
  • Provide information on HRH programs.
  • Collect and enter client information into the EHR system accurately.
  • Ensure individuals are referred to the clinical team for triage when applicable.
  • Respond to irate individuals calmly and professionally.
  • Maintain current data on provider schedules, accepted insurance plans, and other pertinent information.
  • Scan paper documents promptly.
  • Collect all monies due to HRH and post to the Cash Sheet accurately.
  • Check in or check out all individuals served in a timely manner.
  • Complete financial processes accurately and on time.
  • Uphold positive interpersonal relations among team members.
  • Use initiative and good judgment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
