Courier

Fed Ex is hiring a full-time Courier based out of North Calgary, Alberta. This is a domicile position that starts and ends in Canmore. Starting wage: $23.30/hour.

The Courier is responsible for providing courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route, checking all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service, and providing related customer service functions.

• Pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route in a timely and courteous manner
• Inspect shipments to ensure conformance with Federal Express Canada features of service
• Provide customer service functions related to deliveries
• Handle packages safely, including lifting up to 70 lbs and manoeuvring items up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Manage time effectively to complete route within scheduled hours
• Adapt to varying schedules, including different shifts and holidays as required
• Operate in compliance with Canadian Customs regulations and company protocols

• High school diploma or educational equivalent
• Valid driver's licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• One (1) year customer-oriented business experience preferred
• Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training
• Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, handle stress and work in a highly pressured environment
• Willingness to be flexible and work different schedules and holidays based on business needs
