GFL Environmental is looking for a
** Class 3*
* ** Residential Driver
** to join our Residential Collection team in
** Calgary, AB**!

This is an
** extremely labor intensive role**, requiring significant physical endurance and strength. As a
** Residential Driver**, you will be servicing over
** 1,000 residential homes per day**, lifting and loading waste carts and materials
** by hand
** into the collection truck. The ideal candidate must be prepared for a highly demanding work environment that requires repetitive heavy lifting, extensive walking, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

** Requirements:
*** Valid Class 3Q (airbrake) or higher operator's license, with a clean 5-year commercial driver’s abstract
* Exceptional physical stamina – must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs throughout the shift
* Comfortable with early morning starts and long workdays
* Must be able to safely drive the truck and operate manual side load equipment
* Must meet the safety-sensitive function criteria as established by company standards
** Responsibilities:
*** Manually load solid waste, yard waste, and/or recyclables into the truck hopper all day
* Operate a manual side-load residential waste truck, including hydraulic hopper compaction controls
* Walk and lift continuously throughout the shift, servicing over 1,000 homes daily
* Tag prohibited wastes items, and report infraction to supervisor.
* Ensure all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times
* Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete daily documentation
* Communicate any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel
* Follow all safety standards and regulations
* Assist with overflow routes, shop and yard tasks, and additional duties as assigned
