Picarro Driver (Temp Labourer)

ATCO Gas invites you to join as a temporary Picarro Driver. This role provides an engaging, hands‑on experience in the gas utility sector, working overnight with advanced gas detection technology.

Location: Calgary, AB (SW)

Duration: 6-8 months

Division: ATCO Gas

Pay: Starting at $28.48/hour

Shift: Night shift 7pm–6am, 7 days on/7 days off

• Safely operate a company vehicle equipped with a Picarro instrument for mobile atmospheric measurements.
• Follow assigned driving routes and data collection protocols to ensure consistent and reliable measurements.
• Maintain the Picarro vehicle and equipment in good working condition.
• Conduct daily instrument checks, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of the Picarro unit.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic rules, and company operating procedures.
• Deliver timely and accurate reports to supervisors and team members.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and alcohol & drug test.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Basic mechanical or technical aptitude; ability to learn instrument operation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors under variable weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Overnight shift from 7pm to 6am, 7 days on/7 days off.
• Must maintain focus during overnight hours to complete tasks safely and accurately.
