GIS Developer - Senior

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Application Developer with extensive experience in the ESRI toolset to support the development enhancement and maintenance of geospatial applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in ArcGIS Pro SDK using C# .NET and Python Arc Py along with a deep understanding of spatial databases and web‑based GIS platforms.

• Develop and maintain GIS applications using ArcGIS Pro SDK with C# .NET WPF and Python Arc Py.
• Build and support solutions using .NET Core for scalable and modern application development.
• Design responsive web applications compatible with various devices (iPad, phone, laptop, desktop).
• Implement and maintain solutions using ESRI Web App Builder and Experience Builder.
• Develop and manage spatial data workflows using FME Feature Manipulation Engine.
• Work with Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online to deploy and manage web‑based GIS solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile or Waterfall methodologies based on project needs.
• Integrate GIS applications with spatial databases and enterprise systems.
• Provide technical support documentation and training as needed.

• Ideally 10 years’ working experience with last seven years developing or sustaining applications built with ESRI toolset.
• Ideally 10 years working experience with ArcGIS Pro SDK C# .NET (WPF – Windows Presentation Foundation), Python (Arc Py). Both .Net and Arc Py required.
• Ideally 8 years’ experience with ArcGIS Pro.
• Ideally 8 years’ experience with Arc Map.
• Ideally 8 years’ experience with Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online.
• Ideally 8 years’ experience with spatial databases.

• Experience building solutions with traditional Waterfall and/or Agile methodology for software development depending on the project need.
• Experience working with Responsive Web Design practices for different form factor devices (iPad, phone, laptop, desktop, etc.).
• Experience building or maintaining solutions built with the Spatial ETL tool Feature Manipulation Engine (FME).
• Experience with .NET Core.
• Experience with ESRI Web App Builder/Experience Builder.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 – $85.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Calgary, AB.
