Location:

Calgary, Alberta – onsite 5 days a week

Duration: 6 Months +

Rate: 60 – 65 CAD per hour

This is a key role in designing an intuitive, high-performance front end, implementing a robust and scalable back end, and ensuring that usage and consumption of the new system are monitored and tracked efficiently using AWS services.

• Application Modernization and Architecture
• Analyze the existing ASP.NET MVC application to identify core functionality, dependencies, and architectural requirements.
• Refactor and migrate existing business logic, API services, and database layers to a new architecture.
• Develop APIs with secure, high-performance endpoints.
• Front-End Development
• Create reusable components and ensure adherence to UX/UI best practices.
• Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end services.
• Back-End and API Development
• Implement user authentication and role-based authorization.
• Migrate and optimize database operations, ensuring efficient data access and storage.
• AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Monitoring
• Deploy the application on AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, etc.)
• Enable the monitoring, logging, and usage tracking using AWS services (Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, X-Ray, etc.).
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments and version control.
• Security and Compliance
• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data, following industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security and data privacy standards.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and/or experience with Graph
  
  QL is a plus.
• Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Trail.
• Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Legacy System Migration and Modernization:
  Proven experience in refactoring and modernizing legacy applications (preferably ASP.NET MVC) to cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to analyze, map, and port business logic from a monolithic system to a modular, service-oriented architecture.
