The Program – Passages

The Passages Program is a six‑bed live‑in program for youth ages 13 to 17 years who have status with Children’s Services. It offers recreation, life‑skills and relationship‑based programming, with an average stay of 6‑12 months. The intention of the youth’s stay is to collaborate with the youth and their supports to identify strengths and areas of growth so that resourcing and skill development can be done with the aim of supporting the youth’s successful transition back to their family, wherever possible, or into a less intrusive placement where indicated by the case plan.

The program focuses on cultivating each youth’s sense of self‑worth and helps each youth identify, establish, and maintain healthy relationships with their supports to allow for successful and stable transitions. The program provides a safe and nurturing environment, individualized care plans, educational and recreational activities, and the development of daily routines. Strong positive relationships are a key component of overall success.
