Requirements

Preferably an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, with two years related job experience. Other appropriate combinations of education and experience may be considered. A valid B.C. driver's license is essential. Pursuant to provincial legislation, the applicant must agree to undergo a criminal record investigation.

This position is open to all applicants.

This position requires union membership.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

  • Build trusting relationships with young people through active listening, encouragement, and motivational interviewing techniques
  • Develop and implement engaging outreach programs that promote healthy lifestyles, education, and personal development
  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and families to coordinate support services tailored to youth needs
  • Conduct assessments to identify individual goals, challenges, and service requirements for each youth
  • Collect and maintain accurate data on outreach activities, program participation, and youth progress to inform continuous improvement
  • Advocate for youth access to resources
