Join our Client Services Program as a Team Lead, Shelter Services (Shelter and IRS) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve. We're currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Team Lead to fill a full-time, non-unionized position, working Sunday to Thursday 10am to 6pm.

The Team Lead, Shelter Services (Shelter and IRS) is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of Shelter and Imminent Risk programs and provides additional leadership support to the CAC and 24 Hour Helpline. Responsible for the supervision of both weekday and weekend Shelter Counsellors as well as Crisis Navigator and Counsellors.
What you’ll be doing- Works collaboratively with the Manager, Shelter Services to identify gaps, client risk assessment and support day‑to‑day expectations of the shelter in order to provide a safe, confidential, and supportive engagement with our clients.
- Provides monthly formal supervision and support to Shelter Counsellors and Crisis Navigator Counsellors.
- Works from a response‑based and trauma informed framework (oral and written).
- Works with the Manager, Shelter Services in assessing Shelter Counsellors and Crisis Navigator and Counsellors and completing probationary and annual performance reviews.
- Provides support and guidance regarding noteworthy and critical incident reporting and follow‑up.
- Participates in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of new hires.
- Works in conjunction with the Manager, Shelter Services to coordinate and facilitate regular team meetings.
- Prepares and monitors staff schedules to ensure appropriate staff levels are met for safety and optimal service delivery.
- Works in conjunction with the Manager, Shelter Services to maintain approved budgets.
- Regularly reviews case notes, incident reports, monthly reports and provides feedback to staff to improve data collection.
- Ensures client and staff file documentation and program information are maintained in an accurate, timely, professional, and confidential manner, meeting accreditation standards.
